The Black Jackals released there debut single “Demons” on 18th November 2016.

The song has a powerful, aggressive intro riff which is played by itself and then the rest of band comes in with more stabs, still having that strong riff on top but with different guitar sounds. It then leads into a verse mainly having the focus on the bass and drums of the backing band and not too much of the guitar. This very thin layer over the verse makes the chorus thick and much stronger with the different contrasts from the verse to the chorus. The chorus has backing vocals singing along with the lead vocals in harmonies and then quickly leads with a riff and the bass following the guitar. The kind of vocals which raise in sound as it gets towards the end of the line.  As the song repeats for another verse and chorus, it goes into a bridge  which breakdowns into a guitar solo and back to the thin layers, they have only recorded the bass and drums as backing and don’t include another guitar at all. Only using the instruments in the band can really show you how they would sound live, knowing that they will be only extra instruments. The song overall is strong as a single and could really be a lead song for the band for the future.
7/10
